Judaism teaches that each person lives on after death in the memories of those who knew and loved them. Our loved ones are also tangibly remembered when we see their names engraved upon bronze plaques attached to the Memory Wall in our sanctuary. When an individual becomes memorialized through the purchase of a plaque, their name will appear every year in our Temple Bulletin in the month of their death, and the Rabbi will announce their name before Kaddish at every service held that month. In our solemn Yizkor ceremony on Yom Kippur, their names will be read aloud to the congregation in one more ritual of remembrance.
If you wish to purchase a memorial plaque for a deceased loved one or pre-pay for a future circumstance, the cost is $400.00. For further information, please contact Ellen Krechmer at ellenk11@verizon.net
