As Melrose and the surrounding communities continue to grow, so does our TBS family! We’re bursting with young families, and we love it.

Exciting News: A New Early Childhood Coordinator

This year, thanks to a generous grant from CJP, we’ve hired Rabbi Sarah Noyovitz as our Early Childhood Coordinator. Rabbi Sarah will be working alongside our families to grow and deepen our programming for our youngest members and their grown-ups.

As we welcome a professional into this role, we don’t want to lose an ounce of the volunteer spirit that built this wonderful community in the first place. Rabbi Sarah’s work is meant to build on that foundation, not replace it — this remains a program powered by the families who show up for one another.

Our Traditions

We’re looking forward to continuing the programming our families know and love, including:

  • Monthly Potluck Havdalah — Once a month, families with young children gather to celebrate Havdalah together, sharing a meal and marking the close of Shabbat as a community.
  • Family Yoga — A free, gentle yoga class geared toward families with young children, offering a fun way to build strength, flexibility, and a little calm together. Once a month on Saturday mornings, followed by Kiddush and Challah.
  • Periodic Programming — Throughout the year, we offer additional family-friendly events and activities as they come up — keep an eye on our calendar and newsletter so you don’t miss out.

Everyone Is Welcome

All families are welcome to join us — synagogue membership is not required.
