Judaism teaches that each person lives on after death in the memories of those who knew and
loved them. Many of our loved ones are also tangibly remembered when we see their names
engraved upon bronze plaques attached to the Memory Wall in our sanctuary. When an
individual is memorialized by a plaque, their names appear every year in our Temple Bulletin in
the month of their death, and their names are read aloud by the Rabbi before Kaddish at every
service held in that month. In addition, their names will again be read aloud to the congregation
during Yizkor services on Yom Kippur, keeping their memory alive.
