February 21 – March 21, 2021

If you’re white, then like most of us, you may not fully see your own whiteness.  With video clips, articles, and group activities,  Conversations Unpacking Whiteness brings people together in a safe setting to see how this came to be the case.  We’ll reflect on unconscious bias, white privilege, race, and racism. Unique to this course, we’ll consider the history of Jews–sometimes deemed white, sometimes not.  We’ll think about tools to interrupt these divides, brainstorm about collaborating with each other and with people of color, and plan what to do with this new knowledge.

TBS is committed to being an anti-racist and welcoming community. To achieve this, we hope all members and friends and families of members who identify as white will participate in this program.  We know that so many TBS members are committed to racial justice, and we believe that taking this course will only enhance your awareness, knowledge, and ability to take meaningful action.
