Shabbat is the Jewish day of rest, beginning at sundown on Friday evening and continuing through Saturday night. It’s the heartbeat of our community’s week — a chance to step back from the everyday and gather together in prayer, song, and reflection.
Friday Evening: Most of our Erev Shabbat services take place on Friday nights at 6:00 PM for family oriented services or 7:00 PM. Times can vary week to week, so please check our calendar before you come.
Saturday Morning: We join together periodically on Saturday mornings to experience a variety of services. This is when we celebrate a B’nai Mitzvah, the joyful milestone when one of our students is called to the Torah for the first time and their family and friends gather to share in the moment. We also hold meditative shabbat mornings focus on both the words and the silence we experience during shabbat. Saturday morning services take place at 10:00 AM.
Everyone Is Welcome
Temple Beth Shalom is a warm, welcoming, and egalitarian Reform congregation, and our doors are open to all — regardless of background, affiliation, or how much (or how little) Jewish experience you bring with you. There is no registration and no membership required to attend a Shabbat service. Just come as you are, and we’ll welcome you into our community.
Can’t Join Us in Person?
Many of our services are also available to view on our YouTube channel, so you can take part in Shabbat with us wherever you are.
